Sarah Byler for Hilliard Board of Education

My name is Sarah Byler, and I am running for the Hilliard Board of Education (HBOE) because I believe in the power of strong schools and engaged communities.

As a mother and dedicated volunteer, I have firsthand experience with our excellent schools and their positive impact on our community.

I am ready to take my passion and commitment to the HBOE to ensure a quality education for all students, support for our teachers and staff, and meaningful collaboration between the community and our schools.

My statement on the current state of the Hilliard School Board race:

The ballot for November 4th was officially certified on August 18th! For 3 open seats on the Hilliard School Board, there are 3 candidates: Kara Crowley, Tony Moog, and myself. This means we are running unopposed! We worked hard to get our petitions signed and turned in on time with help from many of our supporters. Thank you!

We live in a democracy in which I believe voters should have a choice, but this time other candidates did not choose to get into the race. So, while this campaign will look a little different than a contested race, my commitment remains the same. I will continue to engage with voters, advocate for our schools, show up to events, listen, and support our students, teachers, and staff! I will treasure the time I have before January to read up on policies, learn, and prepare to be on the board.
